In order to continue our mission at Adirondack Save A Stray, we take a donation at the time you adopt your pet. It is a tax-deductible, non-refundable donation -- You are not Buying the pet. We receive no federal, state or local funding and depend on donations to keep our doors open.
The adoption fee ranges between $195-$395 for puppies, which includes money towards the spay/neuter, age appropriate shots, de-worming, your first month of flea control, toys, training leash and some other puppy gifts as well. You must be over 21 to adopt. Do you rent or own your own home? If you own great! If not, please bring a letter from your landlord or a copy of your lease stating that you can have a dog, and a number to verify that once you are here. Will it be an inside dog? Do you have any other pets at home? If so, are they spayed /neutered? If not do you believe in spaying/neutering? The application and all of the paperwork is done here at the shelter. No appointment is needed, just come in and see if you can find your best friend
